Stone Cold Steve Austin wasn't a WWF superstar over night. After his scholorship had ran out for football, he was forced to work at loading dock unloading trucks. This was his only way to earn money. While working at the docks one day, he read an ad for a wrestling school. He had always been a fan so he decided to go for it.
In 1991, "Stunning Steve" stepped on to the scene. He worked for WCW and beat such legends as Dustin Runnels, Barry Windem and Ricky Steamboat. Austin worked for WCW for the next five years in which he became paired with Brian Pillman. They formed the Hollywood Blodes and captured tag team gold. When they split WCW didn't have many marketing ideas for Austin, so when Austin was on a tour in Japan he tore a tricep muscle WCW's front office called Austin on the phone and fired him.
Austin soon worked for the "Most Extreme Wrestling Orginazation" ECW. However this source of employment didn't last long. He then signed on to the real leader in sprots entertainment, the WWF in 1995. But the WWF ffound the same problem with him that the WCW did. They couldn't market some in jet black boots & trunks, so they gave him the million dollar belt, Ted Dibiase, and gave him the name the Ringmaster. Austin as the Ringmaster didn't last for a very long time. He was soon the be the beer guzzler that we know him as today.....
Steve Austin broke the barrier at the King of the Ring in '96, where he beat Goldust and the world known prase "Austn 3:16 says I just....... was born. He then went on to conduct a heated rivalry between Bret Hart and the Hart Foundation. This lead to a battle at WrestleMania 13 where he and Shawn Micheals captuered tag team gold. But when Shawn Micheals was forced out of action from substantial injury, Stone Cold revieved a new partner. The hippest cat in the land "Dude Love." Then Austin's career took a terrible turn for the worse in August of '97 at SummerSlam. Stone Cold was in a match against Owen Hart for the gold, when Austin recieved a career threatning pile driver from Owen, but knowing Austin he still rolled over a pinned Hart for the title. Austin was then stripped of the title when McMahon told him to take some time off. Survivor Series '97 Austin once agian defeated Owen for the Intercontinental Championship, but it didn't last long when McMahon sripped Austin of the title for the second time and awarded it to the Rock. Austin was there on out all for winning the the big prize, the WWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD which was at the Royal Rumble in 1998. He won it by throwing out the Rock, who earlier had taken His title via Vince McMahon.(Kind of a little bit of pay back) He the went on to defeat Shawn Micheals at WrestleMania 14 with "Iron" Mike Tyson as the guest enforcer. But a few months later he lost it in a first blood match with Kane. But the following night on RAW he won it back in a rematch with Kane. His reighn was mighty and long until Survivor Series 98. Where he was screwed by McMahon and the Rock. To be in the Royal Rumble he had to defeat the Undertaker in a Buried Alive Match, which he won at Rock Bottom 98. He then went on to Royal Rumble 99. Austin was throughn out by McMahon with the help of the Rock, but McMahone Gave up all rights as the winner unknowingly giving those rights to Austin. Stone Cold then put his title shot against the Rock on the line against McMahon in a steel cage match, which he won. Which bring us to the present time, WrestleMania 15, which Austin beat the Rock for the Championship for a third time. And he is and always will cause McMahon to have more gray hairs, as well as remain his greatest rival and enemy ! ! ! ! ! !
